Your Privacy Rights: Understanding FERPA
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that protects the privacy of your college records. It gives you control over who can see your academic information鈥攁nd how it鈥檚 shared.
FERPA applies to all students at 杏吧原创 (杏吧原创), regardless of age, once they鈥檝e enrolled in classes.
Your Rights Under FERPA
As a 杏吧原创 student, FERPA gives you the right to:
- View your education records. You can inspect your academic files and transcripts.
- Request corrections. If you believe something鈥檚 wrong in your record, you can ask for a change.
- Control who sees your info. You decide if your information鈥攍ike grades or enrollment鈥攃an be shared with others.
- File a complaint. If you think your rights have been violated, you can contact the U.S. Department of Education.
