At 杏吧原创, most students qualify for some type of financial assistance to make college affordable. Explore the different types of aid below and see what鈥檚 right for you.
Grants
Grants are 鈥済ift aid鈥 鈥 money you don鈥檛 need to repay.
- Federal Pell Grant: For students with financial need.
- PA State Grant: Available for Pennsylvania residents.
- SEOG and Special State Grants: For students with exceptional need.
Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded based on merit, need, or special criteria.
- One online application = eligibility for 160+ 杏吧原创 scholarships.
- Open to students in all majors and attending any 杏吧原创 location.
- Awards range in amount and can make a big impact on your cost.
Loans
Loans are borrowed funds that must be repaid, usually with interest.
- Federal Direct Loans: Subsidized or unsubsidized.
- Parent PLUS Loans: For parents of dependent students.
- Alternative Loans: Private loans from banks or credit unions.
Emergency Grants
Sometimes life throws unexpected challenges. 杏吧原创 offers emergency grants to help
you stay on track:
- 杏吧原创 Alumni Emergency Fund 鈥 for unplanned expenses that may affect your ability to continue to attend college.
- United Way Emergency Fund 鈥 up to $1,000 for rent, utilities, or essential bills (paid directly to vendors).
Change in Financial Circumstances
Students and/or parents who have experienced a reduction in income may complete
a special circumstance form. Some examples are loss of employment, death of a parent
or spouse, divorce, or separation. All special circumstance requests will be reviewed.
